Lead to Cash

Move from CRM lead to quotation, contract, invoice, payment, and revenue reporting.

Lead to cash connects the commercial path from first relationship to collected revenue. It usually involves CRM, Sales, Contracts, Finance, Automations, and Analytics.

  1. Create or import contacts and companies in CRM contacts.
  2. Track the opportunity in Deals & Pipeline.
  3. Confirm that the deal has a contact, a company with a valid primary contact, or a company with exactly one live contact. This shared CRM identity is carried into downstream records.
  4. Create a quotation from the deal using Sales quotations. The conversion is retry-safe and preserves both company and contact links when available.
  5. Use the quotation detail actions to copy the customer review link, attach supporting files, duplicate the offer, or continue into an invoice, order, project, or customer record.
  6. Convert accepted work into a contract if legal approval or obligations are required. A signed quotation can also be archived in Contracts as a legal record.
  7. Create and send the invoice, starting from the accepted quotation, a recurring schedule, catalog product, or approved reimbursable expense when applicable.
  8. Reconcile payment through Banking. The current emailed online-payment CTA is not customer-ready; see Payments for the exact limitation.
  9. Review performance in Analytics reports.

Useful automations

  • Deal moved to Closed Won -> create project.
  • Quotation accepted -> draft invoice.
  • Contract fully signed -> notify finance and account owner.
  • Invoice overdue -> send reminder and notify deal owner.
