Finance Settings

Configure invoicing defaults, templates, payments, PEPPOL, quotation automation, and company details.

Customize finance module settings including invoicing defaults, quotation automation rules, templates, payment providers, PEPPOL e-invoicing, and company details.

Finance Settings require Admin or Owner permissions.

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Finance → Settings (/finance/settings). The settings sidebar shows 8 tabs.

Settings Tabs

General Tab

Basic finance module configuration:

SettingDescription
Reporting CurrencyPrimary currency for invoices and reports
Date FormatDisplay format for dates
Fiscal Year StartMonth your fiscal year begins

Invoicing Tab

Default Settings

SettingDescription
Default TemplateInvoice design used for new invoices
Color VariantColor scheme for the selected template (blue, indigo, purple, green, teal, orange)
Payment TermsDefault days until payment due

Quotation→Invoice Automation

The Invoicing tab includes the Quotation Automation Card — a configurable rule that automatically creates invoice drafts when quotations are accepted.

SettingDescription
Active/Inactive ToggleEnable or disable the automation
Invoice AmountFull invoice (100%) or deposit percentage (25%, 30%, 50%, or custom 1-100%)
Payment DueDays after acceptance before payment is due (default: 30)

When active:

  • A quotation status changes to "Accepted"
  • An invoice draft is automatically created
  • Deposit invoices create a single line item for the specified percentage
  • The remaining balance can be invoiced separately

The automation creates a draft invoice — it is not sent automatically. Review and modify before sending.

Products & Items Tab

Configure defaults for the product catalog:

  • Default tax rate for new products
  • Default product category
  • Inventory tracking preferences

See Products for full catalog management.

Templates Tab

Templates is now a hub at /finance/settings/templates with three tabs:

TabWhat it does
InvoicesBrowse 20+ invoice designs and pick a default
QuotationsSame picker, scoped to quotation defaults
EmailNot available in the current release; outgoing finance emails use the workspace signature and default message layout

Each design is available in 8 color variants and you can enter a custom hex code for exact brand match. Live preview uses your real workspace data — your logo, your colors, your line items — so you see the final result before committing.

Older URLs (/finance/invoices/templates, /finance/quotations/templates) redirect into the hub.

See Templates for the full catalog.

Payments Tab

The settings UI can store Stripe configuration and the invoice detail can generate a hosted Checkout URL through a POST request. This is not yet a complete customer-facing payment feature.

SettingDescription
Stripe — Secret keysk_test_… / sk_live_… from the Stripe dashboard
Stripe — Publishable keypk_test_… / pk_live_…
Stripe — Webhook signing secretwhsec_… from the webhook endpoint you register in Stripe
ModeTest or Live
Offer card payment on invoicesKeep disabled for live customers until the tokenized customer pay flow is released

The outgoing invoice email currently links to a POST-only endpoint. Email clients open it with GET, which returns 405 instead of Checkout. Mollie is also a non-functional scaffold. Use bank transfer and reconciliation for customer collection until the Payments guide marks the flow ready.

Stripe is the only provider with checkout service code in the audited release. Mollie implementation work exists locally but is not a released capability; Adyen, PayPal, and other providers are not available.

See Payments for the full setup guide.

PEPPOL Tab

Configure European e-invoicing providers:

SettingDescription
ProviderPeppyrus (primary) or Peppox (alternative)
API KeyProvider API credentials
EndpointYour PEPPOL endpoint address

The PEPPOL tab shows configuration cards for both providers. Only one needs to be configured.

See PEPPOL for full e-invoicing details.

Advanced Tab

Power-user settings for the finance module. Exact options vary by workspace plan; see the tab in-product for the current list.

Payment-reminder scheduling is configured per-invoice from the invoice detail page — see the Payment Reminders panel under Recurring.

Company identity

The canonical legal and workspace identity is managed at Settings → Administration → Workspace (/settings/administration/workspace). Finance consumes that shared identity for invoices instead of owning a second company record.

FieldDescription
Company NameLegal business name
AddressFull business address
VAT/GST NumberTax identification number
IBANBank account for receiving payments
PhoneBusiness phone number

Complete your company details to unlock full invoicing features. Incomplete profiles show a reminder banner on the Finance dashboard.
