How account deletion works

What to expect when you ask Leenops to delete your account and personal data.

We treat account deletion as a privacy request, not as a simple “disable user” action. The request follows a controlled process intended to remove the Leenops account and the personal data covered by the request while avoiding accidental deletion of another person's account.

Before deletion

We first confirm the account concerned and the authority of the requester. We also check whether:

  • the account is the only administrator of a shared workspace;
  • another person must receive workspace ownership;
  • a legal obligation or documented legal hold limits deletion;
  • additional information is needed to identify the right account.

These checks can pause deletion, but they do not silently close the request. Our team will explain what must be resolved.

During deletion

The controlled workflow handles the account across Leenops rather than only removing the login:

  1. Active Leenops sessions are stopped.
  2. Linked services are disconnected and stored connection credentials are removed.
  3. Personal account data and user-owned files covered by the request are removed or anonymized.
  4. The Leenops sign-in identity is removed.
  5. Automated checks look for remaining account references.

Shared business records may need to remain accurate for other workspace members or may be subject to a lawful retention requirement. Where appropriate, the personal link is removed or the information is anonymized instead.

Updates you receive

Leenops sends an acknowledgement when processing begins and a completion message when the workflow finishes. If something prevents completion, the case remains open for support review and you do not need to submit a duplicate request.

Keep the request reference from these messages. It lets the privacy or support team locate the request without asking you to resend unnecessary personal information.

Evidence and privacy

Leenops keeps limited operational evidence needed to show that the request was handled and to investigate failures. This evidence is separated from normal account data and is designed to avoid retaining the deleted content itself.

Limited records may still be retained where required by law, for security or fraud prevention, or to establish or defend legal claims. See the Privacy Policy for the governing terms.

Request deletion

Contact privacy@leenops.com from the address associated with your account. If your request concerns data controlled by your employer, customer, or another organization using Leenops, contact that organization first.

Never send your password, one-time sign-in code, or access token with a deletion request.
